From scan to crown
This is how we make your crown. How long it takes depends on the material and on your situation. We discuss the schedule beforehand.
Preparing
We prepare the tooth or molar for the crown. With an implant we expose the implant.
Scan or impression
Where possible we scan your teeth digitally. That is precise and more comfortable than an impression tray.
Designing
The crown is designed to match your bite, the neighbouring teeth and the desired shape.
Making and finishing
Material, colour and surface are matched to the position in your mouth.
Fitting and placing
We check fit, bite and colour. Only when everything is right do we fix the crown in place.
Which material?
A molar that takes a lot of force needs a different material than a front tooth where appearance matters most. We choose per situation and explain why.
