Privacy and complaints
As a healthcare provider we are bound by professional confidentiality. Here you can read which data we process about you, why we do so and which rights you have.

Which data do we process?
- Via this website: what you enter in a form yourself, such as your name and phone number. We do not ask for medical details or your BSN (citizen service number) via the website.
- If you are a patient: your name and contact details, BSN, insurance details and the medical data in your dental records.
- If you are a referring dentist: your practice and contact details.
Why and on what basis?
We use data to contact you, to treat you, to invoice and to comply with the law. The legal bases are your consent (forms), the treatment agreement (the Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act, WGBO) and legal obligations, such as the use of the BSN in healthcare.
How long do we keep data?
We keep your medical records for twenty years after the last change. That is the statutory period. Messages sent via the website are deleted as soon as they have been dealt with and at the latest after twelve months, unless they belong in your records.
With whom do we share data?
Only when necessary for your treatment or when the law requires it. For example a referring dentist or co-practitioner, your health insurer or a dental laboratory. With suppliers who process data on our behalf, we have a data processing agreement. We do not sell data.
Security
We protect your data in line with the Dutch standards for information security in healthcare. Medical data and identity details are exchanged through a secure channel and not by ordinary e-mail. All staff are bound by confidentiality.
Your rights
You may access your data, have it corrected, deleted or transferred. You can withdraw consent you have given at any time. Please contact the practice for this. We respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies
This website does not place tracking or marketing cookies. We do not load fonts, maps or videos from other parties. That is why you do not see a cookie banner. If you close the language hint, your browser remembers that choice locally; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. Links to, for example, Google Maps open outside our site. There, that party's privacy policy applies.
Complaints about our care
Are you unhappy about something? Please discuss it first with your practitioner or with the practice. Usually we find a solution together. If that does not work, you can turn to the independent complaints scheme the practice is affiliated with. We will give you the details.
