Below you can read per treatment what we do and what you can expect. We always discuss your own treatment plan with you beforehand.

Staying healthy

Those who come regularly keep treatments small. Check-ups and cleaning are the foundation under everything else.

Periodic check-up

At the check-up we examine your teeth, molars, gums and the lining of your mouth. Coming in time keeps treatments small.

  • How often you come depends on your teeth. For most people that is once or twice a year.
  • Sometimes we take X-rays, for example to see cavities between the molars.
  • You hear straight away what we see and whether anything needs doing.

Cleaning and prevention

Inflamed gums are a major reason people lose teeth. They are also a risk for crowns and implants. That is why we clean your teeth and help you with daily care.

  • We remove tartar and plaque, also below the gum line.
  • You get brushing advice that suits your teeth: which brush, which interdental brushes.
  • Do you have implants, a bridge or a denture? Then we show you how to keep them clean.
Restoring

Is something damaged or infected? Then we restore it so that you can go on for years.

Fillings

A cavity, a broken corner or a worn filling is restored with tooth-coloured material. We only remove what is affected.

  • You decide whether you want an anaesthetic.
  • The filling gets the colour and shape of your own tooth.
  • Too little tooth left for a filling? Then we discuss a crown.

Root canal treatment

If the nerve of a tooth or molar is infected, we can often save it with a root canal treatment. We remove the infected tissue, clean the canals and fill them.

  • The treatment is done under local anaesthetic.
  • Beforehand we discuss the chance of success and the alternatives, such as extraction.
  • Afterwards we seal the tooth with a filling or a crown.

Crowns and bridges

A crown is a cap over a weakened tooth or molar. A bridge replaces a missing tooth and rests on the neighbouring teeth or on implants. We can make crowns in our own lab.

  • Where possible we take a digital impression instead of one with a tray.
  • Dentist and technician decide shape and colour together, with your teeth right there.
  • With an implant we plan the crown from the very start.

Dentures and implant-retained dentures

Is your denture loose, does it hurt or is chewing difficult? We check whether an adjustment helps, or whether a new denture or an implant-retained denture is the better solution.

  • We assess the fit, the bite and the jaw.
  • An implant-retained denture clicks onto two or more implants and therefore sits much more firmly.
  • We explain what your insurance covers and apply for the authorisation for you.

Sometimes the situation calls for more than a standard treatment.

Teeth for life

Teeth change over the years. They wear down, old crowns and bridges come due for replacement and medication can cause a dry mouth. We help you to keep eating, speaking and smiling well, also later in life.

Cosmetic dentistry

Does a discolouration, a chipped corner or a gap bother you? We discuss what you want to achieve and what that takes. Sometimes a small correction is enough.

  • We start with the least invasive option.
  • First healthy teeth, then appearance.
  • You hear beforehand what to expect, how long it lasts and what it costs.

Dental anxiety

Are you afraid of the dentist? You are not the only one. Say so when you call for an appointment, and we will take it into account.

  • The first appointment is just a conversation, if you prefer.
  • We explain each step and agree a stop signal.
  • Where possible you always see the same practitioner.
